A Taxing Night

Story Sent in by Sonya:

Jose and I met up near Central Park. We walked down the sidewalk and meant to find a place for dinner. Not five minutes went by when we passed a line of cars in traffic. We started to cross the street and there was a taxi at the front of the line that was stopped a little over the crosswalk. There was plenty of room for us to walk by but Jose kicked at the taxi's front bumper.

The taxi honked and the driver yelled at us. Jose said to me, "They shouldn't be in the crosswalk."

"But you didn't have to kick the cab!" I replied.

We walked on to the sidewalk on the other side of the street. The taxi jolted forward, parked on the side of the road, and the cabbie got out and followed us. He screamed and yelled at Jose and Jose screamed and yelled back.

What happened next? I don't know. I was halfway down the street as I hightailed it out of there.

  3. A little politeness goes a long way. If Jose had just remembered to say the magic words....

  4. He could have easily hid his anger issues for a little while longer. There are much more polite ways of handling a car in a crosswalk!

  5. Why didn't you stick around?? Angry comment sex is the best comment sex! Second to that is awkward, we-had-three-dates-so-it's-sorta-expected comment sex. That's a personal favorite, but everyone is different.

    1. Wouldn't this have been real sex, not comment sex? Comment sex is the kind you hold over my head, so I know there's a distinct difference. 3/7.

    1. Oh, I get it! It's because her name is Cookie! You even capitalized it as a proper noun to foreshadow that the link would lead to a person NAMED "cookie". Well done. A mistress of puns, this one. I applaud you. *canned applause*

    2. I can't tell if I should thank you for the compliment or scowl at you for the sarcasm. I will settle for saying thank you while I scowl.

      Thanks! /me scowls

Actually, I googled for a gif of a dancing cookie, and that pic showed up among tons of cookie pics. I was wondering why the hell a picture of Taraji Henson was in my cookie search when I remembered having seen that show before.

I kinda had to use it after that.
