Rabbit, Run

Email Sent in by Shawn:

Hello Shawn! It's a bright sunny day and the sun is out. I wrote you a poem:

I can see clearly now the rain is gone,
I can see all the obstacles in my way
Gone are the dark clouds philanthro-Paul
It's gonna be a bright bright bright sun shiny day.

Philanthro-Paul says that tomorrow will also be nice with a side of clouds. I treid to catch a rabbit in my yard and bite off its head. But the rabbits are too fast. Someone tell Lenny! GEORGE IS HOLDING A GUN TO YOUR HEAD. I often think that Gatsby would've been better if George didn't shoot him at the end. What did you think?

from,
Al

  2. Wow... What really irritates me with this email is not the fact that Al sounds insane, but rather the fact that he mixed up The Grapes of Wrath and The Great Gatsby. Also, props for plagiarism. That's sure to get alllll the ladies.

    1. I don't think he's after ladies (if indeed Al is a he). I assumed Shawn was male.

  3. Actually, Gatsby was killed by a character named George as well - Myrtle's husband.
