An Affair to Forget

Submitted by David:

I met a blind date for drinks at a New York City restaurant a number of years ago. During the course of the get-to-know-you portion of the evening, it came up that my father had died a number of years earlier and that my mother had since remarried.

I also mentioned that, ha ha, funnily enough, my mom wound up marrying the pediatrician that had taken care of me and my two brothers. She replied, "Really?! Do you think your mom had an affair with the doctor when you were kids?"

Check please...

  4. i just read a bunch of these, and while they're funny, i think they're all written by one person. they all have the same tone... and i'm beginning to think that many of the comments are written by the same person who's writing the letters. thoughts?

  5. She's probably closer to the truth that the OP realizes. Not sure why he would bag the date...

  6. I would guess they have the same tone because they're edited by the same person into a consistent style.
