And She Don't Care

Story Sent in by Lewis:

I had a good first date dinner with Breanna. She was really cute and I did my very best to show her a good time. She seemed a little slow on the uptake but otherwise definitely worthy of a second date.

We walked down the street after the meal and found that Breanna had parked too close to a hydrant and had a parking ticket.

She yelled, "Oh my God! Noooooooo!" and tore the ticket up into pieces. Then she turned to me and said, "You won't tell anyone, right?"

I said, "I don't think it matters. You still have to pay it."

"No!" she said emphatically.

"I'm pretty sure you do."

"No! I won't! I won't! Don't you tell anyone!" She then jumped into her car and sped away without so much as a goodbye.

  1. When the DMV sends her a notice for payment in the mail, she is going to know you told them. And then......

  3. No, OP, I'm pretty sure that's how the world works. The best way to deal with your problems is to pretend they aren't there until your home burns down around you.
