And Fill It with a Total Lack of Cats

Story Sent in by Lisa:

While I was at a restaurant with Jordan, I ordered dinner but he didn't order a thing for himself besides tea. After the waitress left I asked him if he just wasn't hungry.

He reached into his coat pocket and pulled out a container with peanut butter and apple slices. He then tore into it as if he hadn't eaten in days. I asked him if he usually brought his own food to restaurants.

He said, "It's cheaper this way. You order what you want. Don't worry about it."

He ate his "dinner" and I enjoyed my own. When the check came he put down just enough money for his tea. I was fine paying for my own meal but I couldn't help but notice that he wore an expensive-looking pair of brown leather shoes.

"Nice shoes," I felt inclined to point out.

"Thanks," he replied, "If I told you how much pussy these have gotten me, you'd think I'd have to open a cat shelter."

"I'm glad to hear it," I said, digging out my cash.

He went on, "Look at them. Aren't they beautiful?"

They just looked like expensive, douchey shoes. Nothing more or less. The check was paid, we left, and right outside he took my hand and tried to kiss me.

I ducked away and he said, "Think you might like a pair of shoes like mine, someday?"

"No, thanks."

"Wanna do it?"

"No, thanks."

I excused myself to leave, thanked him for meeting up with me, and left his presence as fast as I could.
