Maybe Her Boss Is a Vase

Story Sent in by Terrence:

Over the course of my first two dates with Robin, I was reasonably assured that she was intelligent and rational. I invited her over to my house for our third date. I thought we'd have a quiet dinner in and watch a movie. She told me, more than once, leading up to the date, "I've had a rough work week." I wanted to give her something relaxing.

On a table near the front door, I had a decorative vase. It was something I had picked up years before and I liked its design. When Robin came over and I welcomed her in, she picked it up and tossed it up and down in the air.

"Please don't do that," I said.

She said, "Think fast!" and threw it at me. I shouted in surprise and caught it, but barely.

"What are you doing?" I yelled, "Are you nuts?"

She yelled back, "I had a rough week! I had a rough week! How can I make that any clearer to you?"

She then ran over to me and tried to wrest the vase away from my grasp. I said, "What are you doing? Let go!"

She screamed, then, unable to yank the vase away, she shoved me towards my couch, then stomped out of my house without a word, slamming the front door closed behind her.

Still clutching the vase, I reviewed the events of the past minute, just to make sure that I hadn't actually done anything that could have prompted her behavior. I then set the vase down and took off after her, but by the time I made it outside, she was in her car and pulled away. I never heard from her again.

  2. She had a tough week, man. If you truly liked her, you would have let her trash all your stuff. True love has no boundaries.

That or she's freaking CRAZY. Like a nicer version of my ex.

  5. Why the hell would anyone chase after her?! I would've locked the door straightaway.
