But Why Is He Still Single?

Story Sent in by Ronnie:

I met Josh online and went out to dinner with him for a first date. After he had a few cocktails, he said, "Can I ask you a serious question?"

I said, "Sure."

"It's a personal question. A serious, personal question."

I braced myself. "Okay."

He asked, "Has anyone ever told you that you're extremely rape-able?"

I felt my heart pound a bit faster in my chest. "No," I told him, then shouted to whoever would listen, "Check, please!"

He slouched back in his seat. "It was just a question. Don't go crazy."

Better crazy than spend one more minute with this prick. The check arrived, and I didn't even offer to pay. "On you? Thanks," I said and left in a hurry.

The walk back to my car seemed to take forever and I glanced over my shoulder far more often than I looked where I was going.

When I arrived home I blocked him and reported what he said to the site admins. I'm not sure if they did anything (my word against his, after all) but I never heard from him again.

  1. Wow.....just..........wow. Great job getting out of there so fast OP. Rape isn't a compliment and it isn't funny. But to keep things from getting too serious, maybe your next date should be at McDonalds. Then you could call for back-up.

How could he even think that was a remotely appropriate statement? I mean, come on!

  2. Good on you for leaving. Don't know what is wrong with some people.

"No. Has anyone ever told you that you'd make a great shooting target?"

  4. "Have you ever danced with the Devil in the pale moon light?"

"Has anyone ever told you they'd like to see your steaming entrails land in a pile at your feet as they unzipped you from tongue to testicles?"
