Add "Boot Licker" to the List

Emails Sent in by Joe:

Hi I'm Lauren. Could you pick a few things up for me today? Pick up a half gallon of skim milk (later date the better), total whole grain cereal, a bag of oranges, five cans of black bean soup, a quarter pound of ham, wheat bread, mustard, ketchup, and some cookie dough ice cream. If you can do it before 6 that would be best and bring it to my work NOT to my home, thank you. I'll give you the address once you've picked it all up. I will also pay you back in cash.

Lauren

Joe Responds:

Hi Lauren.

Did you mean to send this to me? I think you might have entered in the wrong address.

Sincerely,
Joe

Lauren Responds:

I made no mistake and I meant to send it to you. Figured that an online guy wants to impress so I made it easy for you. I said I'd pay you back. No problem? Let me know or I'll give another guy the chance.

Joe Responds:

I'd rather not do your shopping for you, so you're better off finding some other guy. Thanks anyway for the opportunity to demonstrate desperation.

Lauren Responds:

  2. Wow, that seems an inordinate amount of black bean soup. I guess that's what crazy people eat these days...

  3. I once asked a crazy person if she ate a lot of black bean soup. She said, "my, the moon looks delicious tonight." It was weird because this was a sunny afternoon.

  4. Why do so many OPs keep making the classic mistake of saying "no" to arrogant demands like this? The best approach is to say "yes" but simply NOT DO IT. Then you can enjoy hours of fun calling them to tell them you're "on your way... just another 15 minutes" and seeing how long you can make them wait before you crack up on the phone. Way to go, OP - you cost yourself a really great time.

  5. Mix the cookie dough WITH the black beans. SNORT the grain cereal. SLAM the mustard and ketchup. THEN visit crazy town. Duh...
