A Dish Best Not Served

Story Sent in by Beav:

Dori contacted me off of a dating site and we met for a first date. She was different from other people I had dated because she insulted me almost the entire time. She said things like, "Why did you order the chicken quesadilla? Are you gay or something?" and "You got a bachelor's degree in economics from Vanderbilt? Like that's gonna help you with anything."

I finally called her on her crap and asked her why she liked putting me down so much.

She replied, "Do you remember Kim Lawson?"

I had a faint recollection of the name. Someone I had dated in college? Yep. One date. She had told me that she didn't want a second date. It was a few years ago.

Dori continued, "She's my friend. You dumped her. Now I'm just getting revenge for her." Dori gave me an irritating smirk.

I said, "She actually told me that she didn't want to go out with me again after only one date. You've been misinformed."

"Are you calling Kim a liar?"

"Yes."

Dori evidently didn't plan for that answer because she didn't have any comeback for that. I insisted that she pay for her half of the bill even though she swore she wouldn't. And then I went home and that was it.

  1. Chicken quesadillas are not gay. They're the most hetero Mexicano food on the planet because reasons.

    1. Fun Fact: Chunky Horse first brought quesadillas to the Mayans in 386 BCE.
