Scream Park

Story Sent in by Mack:

After a light lunch with Susan, we walked in a nearby park. It was a sunny day with plenty of other people around. As we passed between trees, she stopped and stared at one tree in particular, a few yards away.

I asked her what she was looking at and she replied, "It can't be."

She creeped closer to the tree and knelt down at its base. She stared into a small hole.

From behind her, I asked, "Is that a bird or squirrel or something?"

Her breathing went fast and I realized that she wasn't moving. I asked her if she was okay.

She said, "The beast... the beast! The beast lives there. Take me... take me... take me away!"

She was really freaked out about some tree hole. I helped her up. She shivered like crazy and I walked her out of the park. I asked her if she wanted to sit down there or if she needed anything to drink. She told me she needed chocolate chip cookies.

I ran to a convenience store and bought her a small pack of them. She ate one and said she felt better. She then apologized for ruining the date and said she wanted to go home. So that was it.

  1. That's a lot of effort to go to for free cookies.

  3. Reminds me of another story I read on here about "the beast". A girl tells a guy on their first date that as a kid, her family buried all their pets in the backyard. She says that at night, the dead bodies combine into one huge monster and crawl up out of the ground, then come for her. It scratches at her bedroom door all night long.
